Meg is a Director of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) at Ovative and is responsible for driving strong organic performance across a portfolio of world class brands as well as guiding the development of future leaders across the SEO team at Ovative. Since joining Ovative in 2019, Meg has enabled growth for the SEO program through refinement of process and scalable tactics, but also by keeping clients and team members staying focused on the optimizations that will drive the most impact and profitability.
Before joining Ovative, Meg spent 5 years at Best Buy and 2 years at Deluxe Corporation helping to drive organic search performance as an in-house SEO leader. This client-side operator experience shines through when assisting clients in successfully advocating for SEO initiatives within large organizations. She understands the significance of building business cases for SEO work and providing impact estimates so success can be measured. Meg started her marketing career in the non-profit sector and developed a passion for SEO when challenged with the task of driving visibility for organizations that did not have advertising budgets for acquisition. She helped to start a community music festival, RiverSong, that has been running for over 10 years and that pushed her to get scrappy about marketing and the power of building relationships.
Meg lives just north of the Twin Cities metro where she spends much of her free time away from the computer screen gardening, playing with her two rescue dogs, Ike and Vivian, and trying her hand at a variety of home improvement and art projects.
