The (Sr) Manager, Solution Architecture role offers the right candidate the opportunity to take on an early stage, leadership role at a fast-growing company that has the highest standards for talent, fun, and client success.  The position will lead a team of high performing developers in creating and consulting on best-in-class marketing and measurement technology architecture, implementations of mar tech tools including our proprietary products, and technical audits for our clients. These may consist of analytics tools, data capture tools/mechanisms, tag management solutions, and additional complex technologies that power toolsets like personalization engines, web analytics, multi-touch attribution, cross-channel marketing measurement, online-to-offline measurement, cross-device measurement, and additional data-driven tools.

We are looking for people who are skilled at understanding high-level business goals and turning them into actionable technology recommendations and implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of high performing direct reports in the front-end development space
  • Define and drive strategy across team structure, roles, development, and product design
  • Act as technical subject matter expert on marketing and measurement technologies including our proprietary marketing measurement platform, MAP
  • Lead technical requirements gathering, solution design, process improvement, and implementation of marketing & measurement technologies both internal and externally with clients
  • Accountable to the maintenance of technology solutions including media/site tagging and creation of API connections to media and/or measurement platforms
  • Troubleshoot a broad range of data and technology issues across proprietary and other marketing technologies
  • Lead exploration of new technology opportunities for our clients and our company
  • Be a key contributor of technical expertise on client deliverables including RFPs, business development exercises, technology implementations, and client presentations
  • Lead technology innovation to address changes presented by data privacy regulation and the ever-changing measurement landscape

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience
  • S. in Computer Science, related field or adequate work experience
  • Experience leading a technical team and managing direct reports
  • Experience with web technologies (i.e. JavaScript, HTML, CSS), data manipulation (i.e. SQL), regular expressions, and command line
  • Basic understanding of data storage, processing, and cloud computing
  • Strong technical background demonstrating an ability to understand business goals and make actionable technology recommendations
  • Sound conceptual, analytical, and “big picture” problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication (e.g. oral, written, presentation) and deliverable production skills

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with marketing APIs and/or automating data pulls from marketing platforms
  • Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, CRM, customer strategy or other marketing discipline
  • Experience in advanced marketing measurement (e.g. MTA, MMM)
  • Client facing, consulting, and project management experience
  • Analytics and/or marketing technology management experience
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and big data
