About the Role

This mid-level position on the Accounting team is a truly unique opportunity to take on a pivotal role at a fast-growing company that has the highest standards for talent, client success and fun.  We are looking for an ambitious individual to take part in building a best-in-class Accounting team. This role will provide support to the finance department by managing a complex set of invoices and expenses. You will be part of a team of professionals working to establish best practices and transparency for the company’s finances.  The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles, be able to work comfortably with numbers and have strong attention to detail.  The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.  This person will be held to a high standard of confidentiality and ethics, as they’ll be managing sensitive financial information on a regular basis.

Responsibilities of Analyst, Accounting:

• General Month End Closing Activities
  • Assist with the month end close process and financial statement preparation
  • Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger in order to maintain accurate balance sheet position
  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Manage daily bank reconciliations and assist team with cash flow projections as needed
  • Assist in updating accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Assist in updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Perform monthly review of expense reports, managing expense systems and ensuring expenses are submitted in a timely manner and in line with company policy
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues as assigned
• Process & Systems strategy
  • Partner with the business teams to streamline their media budget planning processes and systems
  • Collaborate with Controller to establish strong accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Contract review
  • Assist in contract review and redline client and vendor contracts and partner in the negotiations
  • Assist in ensuring contract details accurately flow through Accounting and Finance systems and reports
  • Maintain contract database
• Culture and leadership:
  • Be a team player and ready to take on ad hoc tasks as needed to support the team
  • Instill organizational best practices learned from past Accounting experiences
  • Cultivate a transparent, trustworthy, and ethical work environment by staying engaged, curious, and accountable

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience
• Proven track record of analytical acumen, structured problem solving, and drive for results
• Can lead self and manage multiple assignments and stakeholders simultaneously
• Demonstrates excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, specifically Excel
• Experience in QuickBooks preferred
