Account Director, Client Services

We are looking for a bold Account Director to join our team at a fast-growing company with the highest standards of talent, fun, and client success. In this role, you will be responsible for leading three-to-six major client accounts focused on driving business impact, creating a world-class client experience, and steering account growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate phenomenal client relationship management, inspiring team leadership, strong critical thinking skills, and a deep understanding of the digital marketing industry.

This role will be part of our Client Services team and play a key role in evolving Ovative’s client experience to become world-class. This person will help define great client management, enhance our client review process, and train skills across Ovative teams. This candidate must be self-directed, comfortable supporting multiple work streams, and be able to think critically to identify opportunities for further optimizations and communicate it effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Unparalleled client relationship management
    • Lead, drive and grow the overall relationship and performance of three-to-six Ovative accounts
    • Effectively manage client relationships, establishing trust and credibility and serving as an expert on their business for digital media, measurement and the overall business model
    • Own the relationship strategy and create strong relationships with key decisions makers, beyond day to day contacts
    • Drive cross-functional marketing strategies and roadmaps aligned with client priorities that drive results and grow the business
  • Account growth and retention:
    • Support teams in structuring their workstreams, allocating team resources, providing role clarity and aligning subject matter expertise as needed
    • Accountable for account retention and growth by delivering outstanding results and advocating for new Ovative services
    • Provide regular & timely messaging on overall health of account to key internal & external partners
    • Drive account-wide strategy and act as the account level decision maker
  • Team leadership and employee development:
    • Actively coach account teams, account managers & future account directors on how to solve complex client problems
    • Foster a culture of open communication and candid, 360-degree, feedback
    • Inspire your account teams and direct reports to reach their quarterly, annual, and long-term goals
    • Support staffing strategy and help recruit, train and manage new Ovative team members
    • Operationalize best in class client management across the organization

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant digital marketing and client experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing direct reports
  • Previous experience operating hands-on digital marketing strategies and execution to drive business impact
  • Strong ability to solve analytical, conceptual and big picture problems using sound critical thinking techniques
  • Possess a strong business acumen & deep understanding of how digital can drive a business forward
  • Advanced client management skills, alongside excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience building, leading, and developing teams with diverse team members from a range of backgrounds
